View Full Version : pictures of my gtp
no clue as to what locality or sex as of yet, but rescued it from a pet shop rather cheaply about 3 months ago and no problems with it at all. pretty friendly and easy to handle

youre very lucky not to have probs with it, cuz most petstore gtps are wc. its a nice one! looks like it may retain some yellow.

How can you tell that it is going to retain some yellow or that it has a good chance of retaining some yellow.

Im almost positive you shouldn't be handling GTP's at such a young age as its said to lead to spinal problems. I could be wrong...
Looks nice though!

Bartman, your absolutely right. The only handling young chondros should experience is a few minutes on a hook while cleaning or taking pics if desired.
MalaysianBloods- You can only really have any idea what a GTP will look like from looking at its parents and even then most will not turn out that way. This GTP is still way too young to tell if it will retain any yellow as it has not started its ontogenic color change yet.
