Hi I know you guys probably get this question a lot but I was wondering which locality's have the more blue as adults and whuch have more yellow and lasty which have the most white. Thanks for all your replys in advance. If you have pics to go along with the locality that would be muchly appreciated.

biaks tend to have yellow, arus and meraukes (as well as other highland locals) have white, with the meraukes having it more concentrated in a vertebral stripe. arfaks, sarongs, and jayapuras often have blue vertebral stripes, and arus sometimes have some blue highlights to them. there are other locals which i am not familiar with, so i dont know their traits (such as the wamena, though i do know they sometimes go through a mite phase or color change and sometimes end up keeping the black flecking). also, there is a fair amount of individual variablility.

Thanks, Do you know if the green trees that have the similar color such as the arfaks, sarongs, and jayapuras cost the same price or does the cost change for each one and is it the same for the ones with white.

prices tend not to reflect locality so much as the lineage, coloration, age, and sex. if a locality is very uncommon in captivity, it may be more.

If you are looking for more blue in your GTPs i would try to obtain an aru chondro. they are known to have a lot of blue markings on them.

My personal favorite are the Sorongs. I love the blue stripe down their backs.

Not necessarily. Arus are more known for having a fair amount of white spots along the dorsum. There are lines that have quite a bit of blue on them, but not nearly as much as highland and mainland animals......Wamena, Jayapura, Sarong, etc. Even Biaks can have quite a bit of blue. It's all variable.
