Well my harlequin cresteds just layed their first eggs this season. They are so small. I thought they'd be as big as leopard gecko eggs but I was wrong. Can't wait to see what I get :)

Congrats!!! They are pretty small eh?:)
I'm a month in with my first clutch of Crestie eggs and she just laid another 2 days ago.

Congrats both of you. The eggs really start to swell during the last 3 weeks of incubation. You will also notice the eggs they lay in following clutches are much large then their first.

Haha that's the 1st thing I noticed with the 2nd batch, was the size difference!

If you think the eggs are tiny, wait until you see the hatchlings ;) I only have 2 eggs cooking right now (a couple more on the way though), and I've got a long wait ahead... but when they hatch it's sooo worth it :D

thanks everyone and good luck to you all in your breeding. They looked big in the container but when I took them out I was in awe. Can't wait to see the little guys crossing my fingers they produce harlequins :)

They are some recessive traits in crested geckos so you might get some like the grandparents but most will likely be a blend of pair ;)

Whatever I get I'll be happy with :) how long do you think it will take then to hatch out at 79? Can't get the temp any different and I've seen that this is an ok temp.

that is an acceptable temp, i personally keep mine at about 70 - 72, and at 72 they take 70-85 days. At 79 start expecting them at 50-65 days. Although temperature sexing has never been proven with cresties, "word of mouth" sais higher temps seem to produce males. This is one of the reasons I incubate at lower temps, and also with lower temps hatchlings are larger and with my experience have a better success rate.
