My rescued BRB made a huge leap yesterday in eating practices. I received this guy from a friend who found him under his house during a rain storm. He was a popcicle when I got him, near dead, covered in scars, and the WORST eater ever.

He's eaten 5 times since I've started taking care of him, all of which were adult live mice... one of which was a regurg.

Yesterday I got him to take a f/t medium rat. And I only had to brain it and make it dance around him for about 30 seconds. :)

I took him in about 2 months ago.

Then I found out his crazy escape story. Not a big herp area that I live in. I knew one guy who used to own a BRB, but he didn't have it by the time I met him. I never asked how or what happened to it. Turns out it slithered down a bathtub drain while feeding (now get this) 10 months ago. That means it was loose in southern Cali for 8 solid months. The place the BRB was found again was next door to his old home, but completely new tenants in both rental hosues.

Insanity. He's doing super well, and I'm proud of him. Scab type legions went away after shed, and only a few scars now.
