I have noticed that my BRB always has a kind of slime covering his feces. I dont see this with my other boa or my pythons. Now, I was treating with Benebac for about 4 weeks and I am wondering if this is still in his gut and is causing it. He was a rescue case that had 2 regurges since I have had him (when moving too fast to larger prey items or feeding too often). I now have him on a small rat every 10-14 days and no problems with regurge (although his weight is not bouncing back quickly as I would like and he has a triangular shape still). Any thoughts? He has been treated before for internal parasites and the husbandry is not an issue. Thanks!

Just to provide a little more info, he went to the vet 2 days ago. They orally wormed him and gave an injection of Baytril. I gave him another injection this morning and tonight we will see how his feeding response is. The vet felt it was parasitic or bacterial without culturing the feces. We will see how he improves. Feeding response even throughout his illness has never been an issue so that is a good sign. When I took him out today he was considerably more active and perky than he has been since I have had him. I will keep everyone updated.
