BCI / MORPHS - new look to photos.

Just updated the look to my photos and thought to share. Picked my best for this project I am working on to test out and get practice with Photoshop. Its been alot of fun making this new design :D

Thanks, your creative designs on websites got me thinking damn I should learn some Photoshop and spice up regular photos, now another 15 years at this and I should be where you are now in design, ;)

Lord you use a variety of substrates, very nice. Gorgeous animals, do you have a specific method of choosing which substrate to use? Like between paper towel, mulch, wood grain, etc? Which do you find they do best on?

What they do best on depends how you see it. People like to use natural subtrate and others prefer the easiest method of cleaning. I prefer paper towel overall, besides being cheap and easy to remove and repeat with new clean material, I find it absorbs and keeps the animals cleaner. I use newpaper as well but it was never much noticed till I had Albinos on the material and their curiosity to rub their noses on the ink. I really hate seeing a beautiiful Albino with a ink moustache. Dealing in that I expect all snakes get inked a bit. So my best choice is rolled cardboard. When I can pick up a large roll that is 6 feet tall and almost 4 feet think (rough demensions), I find this material the best for absorption, texture for the snakes to crawl on, easy removal and clean up. I only use this on the largest animals in my collection now. I love natural materials like wood chips, spagnum moss, shavings, rocks and etc. But as the full layout I do not like the extra cleaning involved. I use rocks and branches but the over all substrate to house the animals is either paper towel, newspaper (being reduced over time) and rolled cardboard (my favorite). I tried many things so far, but either I found it more messy, made me more lazy, or overall did not think it was worth using much more than the initial tries.

As for anything you see in the photos that is simply a photoshoot set up that helps in making the photos interesting and brings out the color in the animals.
