Slugs are stillborn (dead) babies/eggs and a neonate is the term for a baby snake/lizard.

No, actually slugs refer to infertile eggs guys. Stillborn are dead full term babies.

Slugs is a common term for both infertile eggs laid & "dropped" by a live bearer. Like Dave says a full or almost full term baby from a live bearer is a stillborn. Mark

Just out of curiosity -- What about full-term(fully developed) babies that don't make it outta the egg...?
