I know what really got angry because I missed watching her lay the second egg by seconds because she was still sitting on top of one of the eggs. Darnit.

Oh well, maybe next time, and if your really lucky you'll see one come out of the egg. I know when we had leos the first time one hatched I swear my husband was more excited than when our OWN kids were born LOL!!! Allison

Yea its very tough to catch them laying eggs, and hatching from an egg. Good luck with the eggs tho :)

Thanks for the comments. Just a question about her colouration. Is it normal for them to keep that much banding and purple? because my male only has only 1/5th the purple and it's pattern is only spots.

Haha, my leo layed her first eggs yesterday and they r on vermiculite at 81-82 degrees. Im no expert, but since your leo hasnt develpoed the spotts, but merely retained the stripes, i think she looks like a jungle, so it is sometimes normal for them to retain the purple. If I were you, I would use it to my advantage and start breeding for the purple jungle leo!

yeah but when she was young she didn't have the broken banding of a jungle only irregularity is that she has very few spots just striping. I hope to retain the purple in the offspring because the male has some purple. I'm going to holdback a couple of her offspring and see how they turn out.
