Hey guys, my real name is Meg. I've been herping for a bit over a year now. I have 4 Leopard geckos. My oldest, Murtle is a big momma and she was my first. An adoption in August of 02. This summer I recued three more leos including one that needed to be force fed. So basically, feel free to come to me for Leo questions. I haven't gotten into breeding them yet though. I also have a male Rosy Boa who *THANKFULLY* just came out of his 5 month fast last night. Anyway, this place was recommended to me by StormyVa. He says you all are nice folks and I'm glad to be here.
Welcome Meg .. I hope you will like in it in here.
Btw .. I saw a pic of Murtle .. he looks very nice.

Wow, an expert in less than a year, you must be reading some great leo books!
I have leos also but would not consider asking one with less experience than myself.

Omen, that is a good point as we all should know.... a year is a very short period of time. Even those that have been in it for many years are still learning things new every day.
Best thing to say is that everyone should be open minded about trying and learning new things and be willing to share the knowledge that we have.

Wow...Um I'm not sure what the expert comment was about since I never said I was. I spend a lot of my time working with my animals and asking/fielding questions on the internet so, with the exception of breeding, I will respond to most questions about Leos. Again, I never said I was an expert but someone with serveral years of experience is not necessarily an expert either if they haven't done the research. Information is always changing and husbandry which was acceptable last week is not necessarily so today.
Basically I was just trying to say, I'm a Leo person. I have experience rescuing, rehabbing, force feeding, I have tried basically every substrate out there, I know that's the great debate, and have my own experienced opinions about it, etc etc. I do keep an open mind and I know things are always changing. I do try to stay current. Was not trying to sound like a know-it-all. Sorry if I did.
