I have had the ability to take videos and put them on the net for about a year and a half now but thought it would be difficult so I didn't even try. Jeff's recent videos sparked my interest so I researched it and found it to be very simple. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

So here is my first video. My male IJCP has been very aggressive after the breeding season. He was a very calm snake and in the past I never used a hook on him. He has never bit me but I have the feeling he would bite me now. He has a scary feeding response right now. When I try to hook him he bites the hook! Here he is striking at empty tongs and I just fed him two days ago...

Ha ha that's awesome brother!!!!!! What a great clip!

The Sony Vegas 5.0 and Adobe Premier are the BEST video editing tools man. You can basically apply everything you could do in photoshop, to MOVIES! Its insane. And with Vegas 5.0, you can save the video and encode it in ANY format you want, and at ANY compression rate. The first BP video I posted was originally 4 GB!! That's basically a DVD! I compressed it down to 255kb. Insane eh?

Keep it up man. Constantly progressing. :)

I just use the software that came with my Nikon 4500. It's called Video Impression. It also lets me save it to any format. Its amazing that huge files can be shrunk so small and still operate.

Which format do you prefer?

WMV or AVI for internet.

My program recomends ASF format for email and web. I don't have WMV as an option but I can choose AVI. I tried AVI and it has a ton of options. I am not sure what to choose for frame rate, audio compressor, video compressor, khz, bits, mono/stereo, quality %, and frame size.

Using the format ASF is simple. It lets me choose the connection speed of the person viewing it and saves it accordingly. On my last video it was set at 56K.

Here is a video where I selected the viewing speed at 128K and it was only about 300 kb.
