How can you tell if a male is producing sperm plugs? I seen one post where it says to check the shed skin, and another that says its similar to popping. Could someone explain a bit more in depth how to check.

Also whats the smallest you would expect a male to be ready to go? If the male is 1000g and the femal is 2800+g will he be able to do his business or will the huge size differance freak him out too much?

Thanks,

Shawn

Most males begin successful mating at 500-800g. A 100g male will most assuredly be ready to breed.

No, the size difference won't matter. I'm sure there's many cases of Breeders getting succesful clutches from putting a 600-800g male in with a 2000g female. Males should be producing sperm once there above 600g. I'll let someone else explain popping. YOu'll know em when you see em when checking sheds.

Umm Okay Mr T is like in his 60s now I think, but you just gave me a really funny flash back to the "A-Team" days.

One question that I haven't heard ask often is what if the male is very large, but the female is just average size... let's say you have a 1500g or 1600g female and a 2600g male? Any problems with that? I can't see why not, but just wondering what others think about that...

Thanks,
Bristen.
