Chameleon Condo

Does anyone have one or have any opinions on it? I am looking at getting one but would like to know the pros and cons of them before I do. Thanks in advance...

I've looked into them as well. I think they're an amazing idea. My only qualm would be, you CANNOT have any cats or other free roaming animals, and I would think of even still putting some kind of enclosure around it, I worry about them getting out...

well that all depends.. my cham does everything possible to get out but someone i know just has there cham on a tree in the corner of the room.. he never tries to get away and hes very socialble.. but dont buy one.. build..

Looks incredible, but i would worry about it too much. lol, i bet a chameleon would stay on it.. nice and high with lotsa heat, pretty cool! too bad i got my little dogs running around the house! otherwise that would be fun to try.

"free" roaming chams of any kind are a horrible idea in my opinion.

My roomate had a cham "freeroaming" for like two years, two years of my constantly ignored advice as well. Anyways. This poor cham got on the roof for a couple days once because he was able to open the screen on a window. He once got stuck between the dresser and the wall and ended up with really terrible scars, he would go into the closet and hide for days on end, in shoeboxes and stuff...there is literally no way to cham proof a house. :P

That's my thoughts on free range chams. Maybe the one experience I watched happened has left a bad taste in my mouth for it, but I just don't see how its responsible.

yea thats true..i think that thing is just trouble in the long run.....where would you get the humidity?...also how mauch are those things..i bet you could make 1 alot easie and cheaper...Connor

yea the idea is not bad IMO but those ppl charge SO much for such a simple thing that has no unique parts... i would NEVER in my life order that but i would make one if i wanted to... yea humidity is an interesting aspect... veileds would thrive in this cage with a couple sprays a day... but not high humidity loving species... if u want one, just inspect the area around where the cage will be very carefully make sure there is nowhere for cham to walk on and itll be fine.

I see no reason that this wouldn't be just as bad qas a screen cage for humiditiy

and if you check out the pic you can see that this is not really free roaming, although it is not enclosed, the animal can not jump out or anything

this would definitely be a good DIY project for someone to do...maybe some large pots of some sort for the bottom...definitely a neat cage, that's for sure

my main thing would be feeding, that would be a hardcore PITA

no feeding isnt that bad actually, on rheir website its says that like the bottom pot is for crickets... u put them in there, cham gets hungry comes down and eats em... yea i agree with ATBlover... there really isnt taht much stuff to walk on.. id make it better...
