hello there guys!!! im just wandering bout my bci. i have a 6 month old bci about 2 ft in length feeding great and shedding in one piece. my question is there are times that he turns into a pink phase. hes skin just turned pink once in a while. is this normal? i also have a pastel female that is always pink. i still need to prove her if she really is a pastel. anyway does a normal bci turns into a pink phase once in a while or maybe before a shed?

'Pastels' aren't a morph, so you really don't have anything to prove out through breeding.
Many Bci have some degree of pink to them, some moreso than others, and it can increase and decrease during their lifespan. For instance, many adults will have lost the bright colours they had as babies, while babies may not show the same degree of pink that they will when they were yearlings ;)
As for the correlation between pink and shedding, their bellies will always get much pinker when they are approaching a shed, though this doesn't usually affect the rest of their colouration. They typically get dull everywhere else, but depending on their pigments, their colours can also seem to change a little bit.
