The worse part is that Canada lets them test that sh here !!! why can't they do that on there own soil. Dam war mongrals

Funny thing is... the average nuke has a matter to energy conversion of something like 2%.... Imagine how much power is actually stored in matter and if you could use even 50%...

Dumfounds me...

Keep in mind those things are set off a couple hundred feet under the ground.. and they still make it heave that much!

WOW......that's some incredible footage. Is there no fall-out when they are detonated underground? Does anyone know?

Sickening, isn't it? I'm serously looking into ways to avoid paying taxes so I won't be forced to pay for this absolute horrendous BS!

Isn't it curious how mankind has this incredible instinctive desire, an ongoing ravenous hunger to seek absolute POWER even if it means destroying the planet in the long run to get it. We're such losers.

"It's a shame to be human, It's a human shame"

Has NOTHING to do with protecting ourselves from the 'enemy'--it's all about control.

I'm glad I won't be around 50-100 years from now to see the results of this idiotic -moronic drive to destruction. Maybe none of us will.

There is NO fallout when set off underground...

joey

.....according to who?

Its a well known fact... there have been radioactive leaks.. but no fallout... thats why they moved the tests underground... also note that the US has not detonated a nuclear device underground or otherwise since 1992.

Now they simulate the explosion on supercomputers...

Or so they want to you believe. I *personally* don't believe it. Where is it a 'well known fact?" Can you give a link?

Joey.. Im sure you can google it :)
Go look for yourself.

Can U PROVE that they have?

BTW... these tests as terrible as they may be, have lead to huge innovations in nuclear medicine when it comes to cancer treatments, and nuclear power plants

...didn't think you could.

I'm not trying to sound brash--I'm a very skeptical human being. I don't like to read nuclear explosions deemed as "impressive"

...sorry man.:( :( :( :(

Joey, do u know the depth that these tests were conducted?

We are talking depths of 5000 + feet.. Common sense would tell u that massive amounts of radio active material are not thrown into the air...

Better yet.. can you explain to me your understanding of "FALLOUT"?
Maybe you have a misconception...

BTW.. I dont want this to get into a flame war.. but you said you are trying to get out of paying taxes? So I guess you would forfeit medical care, education, the right to drive a car down a road, etc etc etc?

Anyhow.. lets agree to disagree... I respect your right to your opinion ;)

It's amazing how many people think they're stickin' it to the Man by weasling out of paying tax when in fact they are just sticking it to their neighbors, people who just as hard for their money.

It's one thing to say that the tax burden is unfairly distributed but there is no opting out, we all enjoy the benefits of taxation so it takes a real lowlife deadbeat to not chip in.

Hey I totally respect your opinion and won't get into a fight with you. World is full of so many different people.

Just because a bomb is detonated underground it doesn't mean that it's cleaner. All that fallout of radioactivity is not just going to 'evaporate'. If anything I would think it would be even more toxic. Would you want to eat anything that's come from the soil where it has been damaged in that degree? What of all the creatures in the soil, plant life?etc, etc. Even if it doesn't affect life closer to the surface it will eventually, given time.

It's an injection of pure poison underground---doesn't matter HOW far the depth is.

Sorry Joey.. I understand your point... When I referred to them as impressive, its just the shear power that Im impressed with... sort of makes ya realize how small we are in this existence. The use of nuclear power to terrorize is terrible, but the technology and force behind the actual explosion is impressive.

Oh and the nature of radiation poisioning decreases with age... not increase :D..

Thank you for the sweeping generalization and overall insult.

And yes, that footage is VERY impressive. I cannot fathom the power involved.

I agree with you BW. It's not the us residents who start a war... It's the government. It's not because your american that you're obsessed by war and it's not because i'm canadian that I live in an igloo (even if they are fun to make).

BTW... the comments about canada letting the US test here.... when / where? The US has not set off an underground test (or any for that matter) since 1992... so how ? Can you prove what you said?
