I hear much about balls not feeding or going long peroids of time without feeding. But has anyone had their snake die as a result of their fasting?

i'm no expert but i'm pretty sure that a ball would not fast till the point of death. unless there is something wrong with husbantry or it is WC or it has parasites or there is some other factor. But a healthy CB ball shouldn't fast till the point of death.

How often is appropriate to try and feed? Every week?

Every week is normal for a feeding (5-7 days I would say), but I have seen where people cut back once the snake has refused a few in a row.
Thats okay if you only have one snake, but if you have a few eating just try the hunger strikers first, if they don't eat feed the food (rat I assume) to the feeders. I am fortunat enough to have 4 Balls who eat every chance they can, and only 2 who are not eating ATM, so the 2 get fed first, then if they don't eat the others get the left overs, so to speak.
my female bp has gone now about 5 months without a meal.... I'm going to try, try again tonite. Sheeesh, I wish I could go that long with out eating, then again, naw.
