I got my new Tokays today

I finally got my Tokay geckos tonight :) just got them home about 20 minutes ago, so when they finally come out of their container I brought them home in I will post a few pics and put some on my website :)

I laughed at how big the male is!! Man when the petstore guy grabbed it and he opened his mouth I got a pretty good idea of what my fingers are going to look like in the next week LOL!!!

Dear god they are F A S T!! I went out and came back and they have finally both come out of the container I brought them home in. The female liked barking at me LOL I tried rolling the container to get the male to come out, which did nothing to him LOL but man the female sure barked at the end of the container!! The male seems alot less aggressive, but he is very very fast. I think I will take it very easy and not try to take them out for the next week or so. I put crickets in, and 2 superworms, so they have some food, and a timer based mister, plus I will mist at least once a day well.

I can't wait till they settle in and start "calling" out :D

Congrats buddy! Ya, you will love the calls they make! My parents always got woken up from them, and they were downstairs and there room is upstairs :p But if you listen close enough to th call you can here them say there name, tokay.

Yea I heard a few calls last night, along with my frog croaking here and there LOL I'll be posting pics on the forum and my site after I get back from dinner with friends. I just hope that the geckos are in the photoshoot mood, and not hiding :)

Well I finally got a few good pics this morning. I came in the romm (and had camera on tripod waiting) to find the male (Striker) on the front left door of my terrarium. He slowly inched his way to the corner after this pic, 1 leg at a time very very slowly LOL (was really neat watching his toes grip the glass)

he moved right into corner, and then moved down a bit, where I was able to get this nice pic finally :D I got a rough length of him, about 10.5" long like I thought (his head is angled away from glass, so I will have to confirm another day
