I know that Pat Dring in BC also breeds them as does Nett here in Calgary area. Katt will probably post some pics soon as she's a Lucy Freak too LOL Mark

Hey Mark I got a quick question. I noticed that your female has a tiny pink spot on her as does my male, my female also has one whole scale that is grey colored kinda like a smudge that at first when I got her I thought was dirt under her scale and would shed out, but it's still there so Smudge is her name. The question being is that fairly common or are our snakes maybe related or what? I got my pair from Jeff Favell. Just curious.

I think yours might have been bred by a girl in BC I think I remember seeing them when I first met him. I seem to remember something about him, Kwok & LTRs anyhow LOL but shows are kinda hazy sometimes LOL You would have to ask Jeff their orgin. I got my male thru Katt & my female thru Henry. The scale thing is kinda common I think. My male & female both have the odd off color scale & I noticed 1 or 2 on the odd offspring. Maybe it has something to do with the color mice we feed LOL (That was a joke for Katt IE: Blizzard Corn thread). I think my male is from US stock (Katt?) & the female I'm not too sure I think Henry got it in trade. So maybe 1 from the same lines but probably not related too closely if at all? Mark

Ok, here we go. Yolk, Mark's male, whom he bought from me, long while back, was produced by Jeff's Killer Snakes in WA state. Mark's female, White Lightening, was purchased from Henry Piorun, whom produced her no idea.

The leucy's from Jeff Favelle, came from David Kwok, whom purchased them from Denise Loving, who produced those leucy's that, Dave 68 now has.

I have had a few leucys (8 individuals), but have whittled down to just 1.2 (I sold the less than perfect eyed ones). Although, I am looking for new bloodlines. Unfortunately two females (sisters) that came out of Tampa passed on right around our move to SK.

I believe Minnow here on ssnakess has an adult pair. I don't know how they are related to any of the others in Canada. Hopefully she has babies b/c I will definitely be buying a pair!

You find orange scales on LTR's quite often. Normal tx rats do have a bit of orange and actually there is a line of high orange Tx rats. In these orange spots, what I think is happening is something called reversion. Basically, the leucy mutated gene mutates again, but to the wild type gene, so an orange spot/scale will show up.

Here's some pics

See I knew Katt would know (the little know it all LOL) & thats where everyone came from. Now I know why Yolk thinks he's a Killer, its because he's from the "Killer" Line LOL Mark
P.S. THX for the info Katt!

I'll take that as a compliment Mark!

Don't call me the walking encyclopedia/dictionary for nothing!

If I had to work with one snake species, only, it be a leucy tx rat!!
