Just wondering if anyone in Ontario, or Canada is breeding Albino Rosies?

I hope to produce my first Albino Limburgs this year. At the least, I should have hets.
There are also a few albino whitewaters in Canada. Simon Fung was the first to produce a couple of babies in 03, but his female died last year.
I am aware of a couple other whitewaters out there, but not of anyone breeding them. Albino whitewaters have dark eyes, and are thought by some to actually be hypos and not true amels. Whatever they are they can look pretty nice but their orange fades a bit as they age. I think Limburgs are superior in coloration. Limburgs appear to be true albinos with pink eyes. They are also pure coastals and can reach 4 foot, much bigger than whitewaters which are intergrades.
Below, my male Limburg

Awsome looking snake Roy, I'm almost not surprised to see such a great looking animal in your care! I'd almost hate to ask how much any of these would sell for!

Roy,

Man your Limburgs never stops amazing me~
I really would love to get a couple of those before I leave....but I really don't know if I have enough room...
Thinking of getting
2.2 ETBs
2.4.1 Corns
MAYBE
1.1 Super Salmon back to HK~
don't know if I'll have enough room to hold a couple more.....LOL!!

Oh yeah
thanks for giving me the credit for the albino whitewaters with the rosies~ Its always great to be the first! LOL!!
But it is too bad that the female died....that broke my heart when I saw her dead. I tried everything I could to save it....but no luck....oh well...life still has to go on.....

I might be coming to you before I leave to get a pair of limburgs from you before I leave~

Awesome pictures!!

Dana, Limburgs are currently $500US for males and $600US for females.. This is the going US rate, which actually went up last year. This is more than twice the price of Albino whitewaters which are fairly stable at $200US
There is a very long painful story of my taking possesion of these Limburgs.
I originally ordered one albino male, a definate het female and a maybe(66%) het female.
After waiting the usual 4 months for the CITES, the animals missed getting inspected in Atlanta Ga, and made the trip to Canada without a validated(stamped) permit.
They were seized by the Canadian Government, made temporary custody of the crown, and sent for a nice little winter vacation to the Toronto zoo.
They eventually were shipped back to USF&W in Atlanta where I thought the original unmarred permit would simply be stamped, as that is all that was missing the first time.
Upon their receipt in Atlanta, USF&W decided they could not re-send them on the original permit because they had already been illicitley on Canadian soil, plus they had been returned on a special Canadian CITES, which some how one-uped the original. So after two CITES were made, they still couldn't send them to me, and returned them to the US breeder.
My supplier then had to reapply to Washington all over again with a letter of explanation.
So another 4 months passed, and Washington generated what was the third CITES permit for the same animals.
So almost a full year from the day I ordered them, they eventually arrived with a validated permit and ,I got legal custody, but by that time, nobody knew which one was the het and which one was the maybe het.
Then after all this North American touring in the dead of winter, one of the females died.
So I currently have no clue whether my single female is a het or the maybe het.
Needless to say, if I get any albino babies this year, they are MINE!!!!!!!! Even female hets will likely all be kept back.
Now you know why I have no hair...:)
Simon when are returning to HK?

Wow,,,,I don't know if I'd be able to stand that Roy! I think I'd go crazy. Glad to hear you eventually got them though and hopefully the remaining female works out for you! Those are the stories that keep me from even looking at animals that are available in the States........I wouldn't be able to deal with all the pollitical BS associated with it! Thanks for the pricing info and the pics they look awsome... I guess some year I'll get some when you do produce some! I'll just have to be patient! Thanks again for this info and all the help!
