Looking for adult blazings

Anyone know a good place to get a pair of female adult blazing bliz tremper line? I can't find them anywhere! If anyone has any, please let me know, I have lots to trade as well. Thanks for any help.

You will be hard pressed to find them in Canada right now. I know of only one person that may even have them this year and my guess is that they are going to be spoken for even before the eggs are laid. They are incredibly rare, and will be VERY expensive too:) I would suggest that you try to track down a lot of DH, since you'll need to produce hundreds of eggs to get any blazings. Good luck with this, they are an amazing morph!

I think I read somewhere that the chances of hatching a Blazing is 1 in 10. Is that even close?
Stupid question, What makes a Blazing a Blazing? It's just a Blizzard with red eyes, right? (Tremper x Blizzard?) Thanks

Yea I have a DH too, but she is still a little small. I might breed her near the end of the season, but I hope I get blazings when I do :)

More like 1 in 500. It's ridiculous, but the two genes are so highly imcompatible. To get blazings you need a lot of DH geckos and even more patience:) Much easier if you have a Blazing male and het females. Better odds too. LOL There are maybe two people breeding them in the US, in any number that is. They are worth a pretty penny...

Thats right. By breeding a DH female to a DH male each egg has a 1/16 chance of being a blazing blizzard.
You might get lucky and have only blazing blizzards hatch out but odds are with only 1 DH female you might get 1 or none...

Those numbers DO NOT work with the Blazing genes. It's due to the incompatability of the albino and blizzard genes. It's one of those genetic/mathematical irregularities that sometimes pop up! LOL

The reason is that the alleel (sp?) that control those two are very close together, and very high. Therefore they generally cross over together so you end up with babies that are usually hets, but very rarely a blazing or a normal. I did a little research in my biology class :D . Anyway, I guess I'll just have to look some more huh? Thanks.

BigDan has the only one hatched in Canada and it's for sale in the classifieds right now along with a bunch of DH's. I might ad he's a great guy to do business with. Good Luck.
