"So Alex.........." Removes sunglasses, puts Sunglasses back on, removes Sunglasses, crosses arms with head hanging dangerously low and cocked to oneside like he is confused about something," What do you have for me?"

I used to be one of you guys, all for Vegas...but now I have a gigantic crush on David Caruso and of late am quite confused...
I like Miami because they make an effort to make it different, like its so YELLOW and all the detectives are also cops, unlike on Vegas. Vegas is still my favourite though... I haven't even given NY a shot yet :p
Did anyone see the Miami where Jeff Corwin guest starred?

Is it just me or did they not even really solve that story line...?
so umm, I think I missed part but what was with the slime trail on the rocks (from regurgitating the girl?)and the breaking into a mattress? It looked a lot smaller when they pulled it out of there.

hahah phew wasn't just me, maybe I missed it or something but did they ever explain why the snake was thier in the first place  . They didn't do too bad of a job though at least they did a bit of research on the heat pits and how they kill thier prey... but last time I checked my snakes don't leave behind a trail of slime lol.
Wasn't as good as some of thier episodes but as far as potraying the snake it could of been alot worse.

It was a mutant and very dangerous Anaconda Slug.
Scary... oooooooooooooooooo!
What utter crap. At least it wasn't actually able to eat an adult human.

ah, but it DID eat the human, and then regurgitated it, leaving behind a trail of slime - pythonochondric acid to be exact. You guys were all too busy watching Horatio, admit it!
(and the snake was there because they were using it to smuggle drugs into the country)

LOL Sad sad sad, yet another reason to stick to CSI Las Vegas. Every week my wife and I try to think of creative ways for Horatio to die so Catherine from Vegas could move to Miami and take it his job! LOL We were so excited to here one of the characters was getting killed of, we were sure it was Horatio, we stopped watching it for weeks when it was Speed instead! Unfortunatly there is nothing ele on Mondays at 9 :(
Anyways what a waste of an hour.

My mistake then :)
I'll doubly stand by my "utter crap" comment from now on then.
Las Vegas is good, unrealistic for all the equipment they have, but good. Miami is meh at best and thus far i'm liking NY. But i'm a fan of Gary Sinise (sp) he's a good serious type in the stuff i've seen him in. LV is still the best in my opinion though.

The Original CSI is the best by far.
The storylines and cast are far more interesting. Plus Catherine,
(Sorry, her real name escapes me at the moment), is the Coug of all Cougs!!!! ;)

P.S. CSI NY has been a big time disappointment for me. LIEUTENANT DAN!!!!

Well that was a completely disapointing night for large constrictor fans on two fronts. CSI usually does better topical research than that travesty. Really I think the show reaserchers used 'ANACONDA' as thier source of refrence.
But the greatest disapointment of the night went to Austin Stevens "the snake master". What crap was that!!!???!!! An aledgedly knowledgeable herpetologist on a reptile specific show spewing off about how a 20' retic can eat a full grown human (namely him). That show has an awsome camera man and great visual direction, and with his continual scrambling up and falling out of trees with snake in hand, etc. But he is without doubt the stupidest and most careless herpetologist out there.

GARY:
I saw that that show as well and agree with you on that, entertaining yes - but I was hoping for something more respectful for the hobby from Austin, can' t wait to see the next name to come up with their own show.

Snakemaster is very sensationalized. Falling in rivers rappelling down waterfalls etc. But it is a good show. I agree I didn't like the man eating thing being mentioned 10 times in a hour long show either.
It's funny how rep lovers are the most critical about these shows.....at least we get to see snakes in the wild on TV. I don't think there has been a thread yet with any of those TV herpers that someone hasn't bitched and complained about. I am not an Austin Stevens fan club member. But so far we have bashed Brady Barr, Steve Irwin, Mark Oshea on this site.......why? You think we amateurs would look up to these people who get to do this for a living as well as doing field research. I just find all this odd. Not saying Gary and Tony are doing that but it is an oddity on most forums. Strange. TB

What bugs me about shows like this is the people that are not informed on reptiles are getting fed a huge load of crap... but what happens when they explain something i dont know anything about, i must have learned a lot of things that i thought were facts, but actually arn't true at all.. oh well guess ill just watch TV for the pleasure of watching TV lol

What I like about O'Shea and Barr is their shows are never about them, they're about the animals. And even though Irwin and Bredl are the focal points of their respective shows, know what they're talking about. From the time Stevens was in college he was an idiot herper keeping hots loose in his dorm. And really as a herpetologist, he's a good photographer.
What miffs me most is that there are a lot of us working to pass solid and non-sensational information to the public and then we have to contend with guys who should know better working against everything we try to do. Like I said I do love the visuals and it's an entertaining show, but I have no respect for him whatsoever.

Didn't see it. But keep an eye out for Battlestar Galactica episode 10.
A ball python, milk snakes, and corns all make an appearance.
