How big do kings get at biggest?
How long does it take for a king to get to adult full size?
How long do they live for?
I have mine in a 10 gallon tank, would that be big enough for entire life, or do i need to get another bigger tank later?
Thanks in advance for the help guys!

There are several things to take into consideration when asking these questions. First and foremost, it mostly depends on species or sub-species. Most common kings of the getula species, will average around 4'. The eastern ssp seem to grow a bit larger on average and 5-6' adults are not uncommon. You could expect them to reach adult size within 18 months to 5 years. There are a lot of variables that determine growth such as, feeding frequency, genetics, and of course, sub-species. I wouldn't expect to keep an adult getula in a 10 gal.
The mountain kings are much smaller, but I don't have any experience to share. I think most average around 30-36". A 10 gal may work for these, but like I said, I have no experience with them.

of the kings ive worked with, the l. g. nigrita and mole kings stayed small enough for ten gallons, cks out grew them.
It depends on the particular subspecies or species. I would expect to need a bigger cage. Kings are fairly active snakes as well, so even if it would fit in there as an adult, you may want to provide a little extra space.

We have ours in a 20-30 gallon long and that is perfect, he is 3-4 feet. Our othe rmale is bigger and he is in a large rubbermaid that I found at Wal-mart.

Thanks guys.
Hey Manitorban, do you think you can post some pics of your 3-4 foot Kings please?
I've never REALLY seen pictures of large kings. All pics i've seen are babies.
