Well today I traded one of my corns for a new albino sonoron gopher snake. I had a 1.2 corn trio and only wanted my original 1.1 pair I got from Jeff H a while back. I dont need so many corns :D

This little guy is wicked, although he doesnt like being handled much. I snapped a few quick pics and let him be. Ill try feeding him next week. How is there feeding response? Ive read a bunch of stuff on them, but if any of you guys have some tips that could help me out on anything that most people dont do but you have found to help them thrive better, that would be great!

Here he/she is. I still need to get it probed.

Here is one for size reference. How big do these guys get? I read they get to about 2.5 or 3 feet.

Very nice albino gopher snake - congrats on the trade. Have never owned one but suspect their feeding response is much like their bullsnake relatives - intense!! Size should be more than 3 feet at maturity too - a chance of reaching 5 feet from what I recall.

Great looking snake,

beautiful gopher ,let me know if you ever want to part with it :) i have four pits ,two bulls a great basin gopher and a black pine
my female bull is almost 6 feet and shes only two my gopher is a little over 4ft they all have a very strong feeding response and never seem to get full(not that i over feed but they can eat alot if i let them) the more you handle it the calmer it will get they can be realy intimadateing when they try, but if you dont let i scare you and just pick them up without hesitation they are fine as far as feeding the i feed them in cage my gopher barely lets me get the food in the cage befor grbing it :)
take it easy

from what i've read, he can easily reach 5 ft and could even get to 6 ft. our lil gal is the most gentle snake we have.. well except maybe our hognose. she only hissed once and has never even tried to strike. we had some problems with her eating f/t at first, but made the shift real quickly.

Hes taking f/t fine and his temperment isnt bad at all. He just always wants to get away, but ill fix that up slowely.
