I've read on many care sheets that Spotted pythons normally like small tight crevices and rocks. My cousin's Children's python never climbs and he has a tree/vine in his enclosure. His snake just sits on the ground while mine is always in his tree out in the open. He rarely goes in his hide like once in a blue moon. Is this normal? He perches himself almost like a GTP...weird IMO. I will get pics as soon as I get my hands on a new digital camera.

Actually my spotted perches herself aswell. It's in my opinion that spotteds will use whatever space you give them. I love those little guys :)

Spotties LOVE to climb. I gave my baby spotties dowell rods in their rubbermaids, and they perch all the time.
