This is a thread on White's Tree frogs, i just got one in December (named him Toby), and wanted to know if there was anyone else who liked/ had one of these adorably creatures!

I used to own a White's Tree Frog a few years ago named Ralph.

He was insane LOUD. He would start croaking really low then go louder and louder and louder until finally you could literally hear him downstairs.

That was neat, but annoying after awhile. He was really a "talker" though!

I had an adult male that passed away right before Christmas in my opinion they are great animals. By far one of the best herps I have ever dealt with Mine also was very vocal, and it would do just like Marisa said and boy could he get loud. I would love to get a few of them but Its hard to find nice ones. I miss the little guy.

My computer crashed so I lost all pictures I had of him except the one I have saved in here. so here he is.

Oh my gosh! hes so cute! i dont know if mine a male or a female yet, but im pretty sure i wont have to wait much longer. How old were your guy's frogs before they started singing?

Mine doesnt get bright green usually, unless hes sitting right beneath his light. hes usually more of a brownish color...and he like to sit in my hand and look at things =D

Thats actually one of the worst pictures I took of him, My guy was a beautiful green color, ha only went brown if something was bothering him. but 99% of the time he was bright as can be.

My guy was an adult when i got him. I could mimic his croak and it would send him into a singing frenzy. so would music he seemed to like music.

How do you have yours set up ?? I found once I perfected the his habitat he very rarely turned brown and when he did it meant something was bothering him.

well, since it was my first real pet for me to take care of, my friend Darren helped me set up the first time. I only have i think a 5 or 10 G tank, but that is untill i find a good deal for a larger one. Well, i have bark on the floor, he has lots of moss, a climbing stick thing that stretches from one side of the tank to the other, and he has a hanging vine/leaf thing that he hides under most days to escape the light. I have a NiteGlo light that keeps the tank warm, but i dont check the tempature...i suppose i should, but i dont know how id get it right. and i feed him crickets and mealworms and every week i coat them with calcium powder. I think hes happy, but he could use a bigger tank to hop around in.

ivr got two of these guys and i love em, only one signs so i guess that means 1.1? not sure, butthe signing usually seems to be brought on by music as well, all it can get loud, still doesnt seem to be able to beat my green tree frogs!
