So as I was finishing up feeding our small army (somehow i'm up to making 27 dishes of fruit mix) of rhacs tonight I noticed that Pumpkin, a holdback from last season, had just finished shedding. Of course she is wearing her best colors, so how could I resist handling her and marveling over the intensity of said colors. One thing led to another.....and well....I think you guys know how this story goes! ;)

I really can't wait to see what she is gonna have in store for us when it comes time to breed her! :D
Thanks for looking!

If you'd rather just make 26 dishes of food, I'll take her off your hands.
..... but 26 is 2 x 13 and we know 13 isn't a lucky number, so to keep you 'safe', just throw in another one or two, I won't mind.

Very cute!
I notice you're local as well, i'll have to keep that in mind when my little ones grow up a bit and I start looking for mates if I decide to breed them.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! We almost sold her but I wanted to hang onto her for a couple more weeks to make sure she was eating properly. I'm really glad that I did! I would've been kicking myself when concept3 posted pics of her on here! Now I just have to hope that one of the other holdbacks I'm raising up turns out to be a male!
Hilde - If I remember correctly you have an aversion to shipping by plane, so on your drive to Alberta to pick them up plan a route that swings down into the states and pick up some saras and pine isle chahoua on the way! Oh .... and don't forget to bring that gorgeous red female auric! I have a red striped male that is quite interested in her! ;) :p

Heck, do you ever know my Rhac shopping list!!
Tell ya what -- why don't you drive them down here and pick up some of those geckos for me along the way? If you time it right you can be here in time for our show at the end of the month, makes the trip even more worthwhile. ;)

That's what I call Beautiful!!! My male fires are finally old enough to match up with my females and I can't wait to hopefully produce some little pumpkins like yours.

Wayde - You came soooo close to owning her! :p
Hilde - We've actually talked about making a trip all the way out east this summer if Michelle can get the time off from the research project she is working on. I'll probably be leaving Pumpkin at home though as I think we'll hang onto her for just a little longer. ;)
Betty - I've drooled over the pics of the darkfire you have, so I can't wait to see what they produce myself! :D
So far from the 4 clutches that have hatched from that pair there has been quite a mixed bag of colors, and with the 2 newest hatchlings a difference in pattern. I thought I'd post a few pics of the happy little family here. :)

Both of the newest hatchlings seem to be exhibiting the "crowned" trait talked about in the Rhac book. It will be interesting to see how they develope.
Thanks again for the compliments everyone!

If and when you make the trip east, let me know and we could always do a trade. :)
I will try and post a pic of one of our 6 week old crestie. It has quite the tiger in him/her. Your fire and my tiger, sounds like a great pairing up to me.
Awesome little babies you have too.
