Thought I'd post pics of our hybrids. These were all produced here.

This past year I hatched six of these ghost corn x baird's rat, and I am most pleased with how they turned out.

This is male #1 as a baby fresh out of the egg.

After his first shed

Third shed

And now today

The change is amazing! These guys are fiesty and grow faster than my corns. They also hatched bigger. No clue how these guys will end up looking.

Another hybrid, I much like are jungle corns. We crossed a striped male to a 50/50 female a few years back and produced 4.3. We kept back a pair.

This male was Vanan's choice and what a choice!

This is him as a juvi.

And him today

The blotches have really lightened up and his colour is so light and yellow.

The female, my choice b/c of the heart and the letter S (Vanan's full name starts with an S), isn't the best looking jungle out there, but I love her look!

OOOh, there's something about these snakes that catches my breath. I guess maybe b/c they're my babies whom I had hoped to produce, witnessed their hatching and have watched their growth. There's a certain pride in seeing your own babies grow up and be so beautiful.

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but to me spectacular!

I like how the reds look to be developing on the Corn x Baird's.

And the last Jungle shot is fantastic - he's got that 'Kingsnake' glare in his eyes... ;)

Love that final female - she looks fantastic. The bairds X corns are turning out quite interesting - still have very distinct saddle patterns - not diminished at all. Nice intense color on those guys too,
