Ok, Im havng big situations wit my ball. I havebeen trying for about 2 months to get my snake on pre killed or f/t. I have offered thawed out mice AND pre killed.
My snake hasnt eating in about a month and Getting a lil skinny. Im getting a lil worried. Should I keep offerig pre killed, or should I just offer a lve mouse. Do ANY of you have a picky eater so I dont feel like the only one??

Out of all my balls only one is still eating. Fasting in the winter is what they do.
You should switch to an apropriate sized rat then worry about prekilled food.
Try feeding off hemostates first
Then try stuned then prekilled then frozen thawed. One trick is to feed a live then just as soon as it's jaws are ready to strike again offer a stunned. Do that a few times then try the stunned first. Keep doing that if it works until the snake takes F/T. You could also try leaving the snake over night inside a tight dark plastic container with a f/t rat.
Cheers,
Trevor

Well, I left the mouse in with the snake for high hopes of it gettin eatin. Well when I came home.......EWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! LOL day old dead mice SMELL!!!! So I got rid of it. Tomarrow after school Im going to clean the whole tank out and add a humid hide. So is it ok that the snake isnt eating? Or should I get a live?
I wanna get it onto rats. I once bought a live small rat, and while I was at the petstore, I overthought the size of my snake and bought it. My snake looked like a midget compared to it.
The thickest part of my snake is about the width of a adult mouse. What kind of rats then, should I use?? Its very frustratin trying to get it onto dead..... In january (I think the 9th) I was at a reptile show and I got 4 rat pinks. And of course she wouldnt take em... They were alive but werent moving that much, so mabye that might be a reason.

I would have to agree with what Trevor said. I would like to add that If the snake is loosing weight you should allow it to eat live . I have seen my ball python go months without food and never lose weight because its the usual winter fast. but if you snake is showing signs of weight loss you should get some food into it, let it gain some weight and then switch it over.
