Hova Bator Questions

i just got my hova bator today, ive been keeping my eggs in a homemade fish heater for the time being, i have 15leos and 25 veileds going in it right now at about 85 and theve have been doing great so far... but when i putt hen im my hovabator should i still leave the lids on the eggs contaners?
should i putthe water in theslot in the hova bator?
and what temp should i dot hem for together?
and anything else that would help me out... thanks tony

Use the hovabator as a heat source only. Set it up and get the temperature stable by adjusting the wafer Tstat. Continue to set up your eggs in deli type containers with the lids on. The humidity is set automatically by the moist substrate in the egg container itself. With only a couple small holes the atmosphere in the egg container will automatically be saturated and close to 100%.
Mid 80's is fine. Leos gender is set by temp, so you'll want it higher to make males and lower for females

but wat should i do for the veileds, and ive also heard the higher you leave the temp, the faster the incubation period

I don't know much about incubating chams, but with leos they will higher temps will also yield a quicker incubation. We incubated our males at 88 degrees and had them hatch out as soon as 33 days, while females we kept around 82 degrees and had them take several months.

does this higher temp thing (to hatch them quicker) work with other things such as beardies or corn snakes and is it safe?
