So I was at Petland this morning browsing around for some cosmetics for my tanks at home and thought i'd take a peek at what they had in stock for their reptiles. To my surprise they had more than your common BCI & BP! They had an Emerald Tree Boa, baby Irian Jaya (Spelt Irian Jara  ), and a baby JCP. To my surprise, all the snakes looked healthy as well. The price for the IJ was $190 and $160 for the JCP. Not too bad pricing either but I am guessing that the colours on the snakes when adults would be horrid? No? Anyways...just thought that I would share what I saw. :)

I was watching the pet Guys, and when they went into one of the Petlands in Calgary the guy pulled out a snow BCI out of one of the cages, thats a perrty sweet find!

Yeah right?! Wow...that is a pretty crazy find...it always makes me laugh when they feed the snakes as well...for example one time my girlfriend and I were there and watched one of the girls feeding an adult BP. She was waving the rat in front of the snake with her hand and the BP nearly took her damn hand off when it struck at the rat.

I think you are mistaken on the Snow there Kevin. Only 2 for sure in Canada (Dan's & the one Marshall produced), 3 if you count Tonys. The likelyhood of a PL every having a Snow BCI in stock is slim & none. Mark
P.S. I guess they aren't familiar with feeding tongs

I know for sure they said it was a snow, I watched the show 2 days ago. They said it was the only one in Canada but then again I couldn't see the snake too well and it may of been identifyied wrong. it looked white too me though :)

it is the one that Dan has. The show was an old one. It was Dwayne Dutka's before, and he used to be the manager at Shawnessey Petland. I saw the episode a long time ago.

Like Greg said. It was the one that Dwayne had brought in that I used to own 1/2 of & now belongs soley to Big Dan. I was wondering if it was that 1 orginally also, I never knew they used it for a show. Mark
P.S. they never "sold" it, but it was approx $7,000 CND at the time.

Which petland was this? I'd like to pop in and check out this ETB...
Hey Ken, it's the one up in Crowfoot Crossing. It's 998 or something. They had 2, but sold one already.

The emerald you see at crowfoot used to belong to me. It is a two year old Mike Vince female that has a reduced pattern. That animals is CB and is a monster feeding. Thanks Richard Welter

In reguards to Jag sibs, it has been proven they are not hets. See the JC X Bredl postings in this forum for more info, Mark
P.S. they are from Craig Stewart's Jags, he sold them to Grant at PCPC
