Was thinking the other day and thought it wouldnt hurt to ask. Anyone know of any "automatic feeding systems?"for rats. something that youd put a larger amount of food in and it would dispense a small amount daily or whatever?? i know ive seen them for cats and dogs on late night tv. but i think those were too big to put in a rat cage. hmmm, anybody??
Rats will eat when they want, so why would you want to dispense a set amount per day? Rats will only eat what they need (unlike my dogs) so leaving a large amount of food out for a rat would cause no negative effects. Most use hoppers full of food, and only have to refill once a week maybe.

Phrasty, you have the SAME chocolate lab that I do? Funny, she's never told me about her travels. Just kidding, they're great dogs, enjoy yours.

I know theyre not rats but for my mice, I put food in a grating thing and they pull it out as needed.
I also have a chocolate lab.

Chocolate labs rule, if you can handle having a puppy for 12-15 years. Chris, like the wire mesh that people use for food hoppers?
