JUST ACQUIRED A NEW BLOOD, HE IS TAKING FROZEN THAWED FOOD OFF TONGS. MY QUESTION IS, HE DOESN'T STRIKE AT IT, HE JUST SLOWLY OPENS HIS MOUTH AND STARTS SWALLOWING, IS THIS NORMAL?

If you dont mind can you take caps lock off next time? :) Thanks.

I've heard of many snakes that do that and I've heard of a blood that did that. What he is doing is great, as obviously he is very calm and feels ok with you. Also, congrats on the new blood!

Lmao! That is ridiculous!

It makes it harder to read. I in no way was offended, I dont know where you got that idea.

Also, if you didnt noticed, I answered the question, and have answered your questions in your thread aswell. Your post was unwarrented, pointless, and included a false accusation.

Cheers,

C.

PS: I guess you didnt notice the smiley face in my prior post either?

Dave.....Me?

I didnt do anything. What annoys me is people making false claims on me about something thats not even true. If your not contributing to the thread, stay out. I rarely fight, and I chose my fights wisely. I didnt get mad, simply stated some facts. If you werent accusing me, then I agree maybe pablo forgot.

For adults, you are being VERY immature. Aren't you supposed to be giving the example? I simply asked a question in my first post, a request to not have caps lock on, with good intentions. I had absolutely no hard feelings, then, it takes THREE adults to jump on a kid for asking a question. I'll say boy you guys have problems. You are lame. I have no respect for people like you.

I say, go talk to Matt K about what he thinks when people have caps lock on. You think im an idiot for finding it annoying?

Im sure many members of this site would agree you are being very, very immature about this. I have earned my respect, chosen my battles wisely(though there have been very few), and I dont understand why people like you have such urges as to jump on someone and be completely disrespectful of a simple request.

If you are calling me sensitive, I am simply defending my position agaisnt some ignorant @$$h0les like you people. I dont treat you any different than any other human, I normally respect people, but when you feel you must drag on an issue that had absolutely nothing to do with you, that is very low. I answered the question, made a request, then people decide to go ahead and demoralize someone about nothing.

Dont be stupid and DROP the issue, unless you are so low that you have to come back again....

C.

Edit: Dave posted at the same time as me so:
Dave, obviously I didnt want an issue in the first place. So you come and drag it on? Its like.......bobby joe kicks me....I ask him to stop and chill, then billy come along and kicks me because he is in a "GOOD mood"?

CHRISANDBOIDS14

If "getting in on the fun" means being an @$$ to someone who doesnt appreciate it, that is really poor.

As I said, drop it.

C.

PS. I only made a doulbe post cause I already edited my prior post, and was too lazy to go edit again.

Holy!!!!!!! I just use cap lock because I am lazy, I think I will stop doing it because it is kind of silly, I was not bothered by the request just had never thought that it annoyed people.

Back to snakes, when I hold a mouse patiently for twenty minutes it really makes me think what these guys would be like in the wild? I am interseted to what you guys think about that, would waiting longer between feeding encourage a stronger feeding response?

Yeah jonny, I only feed my larger female once every two weeks and she almost jumps out of her enclosure to get her jumbo rat!! the caps lock thing was outta control, i don't know how it could possibly bother anyone THAT much!!LOL!!

Dave

CHRISANDBOIDS14

Dave, it DIDNT bother anyone that much. I made a request. I got annoyed by YOU not the caps lock.

Jonny,

Some bloods have a really agressive feeding response, some dont. Im sure if you didnt feed very often, as said something like every two weeks, your snake might be a little more agressive, but its pretty calm, and I would be happy if I had a blood like yours. If you are tired of holding it for 20 mins each time, try leaving it in the cage overnight. I think potentially "starving" it just to get a better feeding response is not right. Its a question of ethics.

jonny,
as dave has already stated our adult will only eat every two weeks, but our sub adults eat every 7-10 days like clock work and there is usually no waitng involved, it's like they know what night of the week it is. If we tried to feed the adult every week she wouldn't go for it, maybe out of routine or that's just her requirements, I guess it's hard to say. But as Chris suggested if you do get tired of holding it, do try and leave it in over night.....Allison

Unfortunately, many of the "adults" on web forums don't really do much else except surf the forums, and do whatever the forum pretains to (Ie, keep snakes, build RC planes, etc).

This forum isn't bad. You should see the fishkeeping forums I used to go on. Thankfully only one in every 10 threads degrades into a pissing contest on this forum.

I think the caps dont matter worth s*** and if anyone has one ounce of maturity in them they should just answer the damn question and go play with their snakes ;)

That was about the only arguement ever in this forum(blood forum)....and It started because some people decided to make something out of nothing. Why bring it up again when it was already dropped and discussion was brought back to the topic?

Chris,

This thread is turning into the most assinine I have seen here on the blood forum on sSnakeSs (forgive the caps:cool:). The best way to drop it is to ignore it altogether (which I, for one, seem to be too stupid to do  ). Believe me, I haven't got the time to reply to each assinine post in reply of one of mine I can see on various forums. Frankly man, I think you're bigger than that. So let's go back to our bloods and have fun!

Yr friend, Mark.

Classic example of problems resulting from the lack of tone in type. This banter has turned in to a great big waste of space. Thread closed, to be removed later.
