DOCTORS

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians pre year are 120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept. of Health Human Services.

GUNS:
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000. Yes, that is
80 million.
(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups. is
1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188.

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than
gun owners

Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

Fact: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS
AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors
before this gets completely out of hand.

Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the
statistics on lawyers for the fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention...

True...and I am scared..going to buy a gun to defend myself from doctors
but...the stats don't mention non-accidental deaths from both guns and doctors..

I'm kinda afraid of doctors before even reading that for the fact that I don't trust them too much. However if they kill you it wont be painful atleast :-/ more drugs out there to help someone with 10 gun shot wounds die painlessly.

Doctors save lives.

Guns don't.

The number of lives saved by doctors is yearly is incredible. How many peoples lives were saved by guns?

I will never be convinced that there is any good reason to own a gun, other than fear.

People can come up with all the statistics they can muster, to say whatever they want to say about guns and how "good" they are to have, or how they promote "freedom." Sure, in the US, gun ownership is a "right." But then again, white men used to have the "right" to have enslave black men because they needed people to pick the cotton fields. Sometimes, certain antiquated rights need to be put into perspective.

I can take pride that I will never have to worry about my children hurting themselves with a gun in my house, as there will never be a gun in my house.

Perhaps somebody should send the above posted joke to a person whose child was taken by an accident in thier home with a gun.

When it all comes down to it.......
Guns create more problems than they solve.

Alls I know is the worlds gettin crazy, I don't personally own a gone nor have children but my brother who lives with me owns 20 shotguns for hunting (which I'm no fan of) however if there were anyone that were to break in my house they'd have to think twice since we're all light light sleepers and the dogs would have us awake if someone walked into our driveway. Not too mention if they did break in we've got enough weapons and ammo for a small army. However I agree guns haven't done as much good as doctors although I don't really trust doctors too much
