As far as I know, there is no (proven) way to tell a normal from a Het, at least with Boas. I assume BP's are the same? Is this true?
Other than breeding them to try to prove it out.

Interrogate them; no food, no water, bright lights in their eyes. MAKE them tell you. Seriously, there is no way other than having purchased him from someone you trust implicitly, or hatched him out yourself.
