while i was at a craft store a while back i notice they sell bambu for crafting or decor. i was wonder if this is something i can use for my animals. is there anything harmful about it, has anyone used this before?

ive heard of ppl useing it.. its fine.. i wouldnt see why not... but you can get cheaper than craft shops.. home depo..

bamboo is excellent because it is light and easy to work with, but very strong
I'm sure someone on here will be paranoid about something about it, but I'd use it

I am currently using two pieces stuck through a rubbermaid for my jcp. Seems to be totally fine.

bamboo ;) it should be fine to use, just make sure if you cut it sand the edges (end grain) smooth. Bamboo splinters are like needles.

Hmm...bamboo seems to be a pretty good idea...might try it with my JCP and see if he likes it.

Some garden centres sell green bamboo. According to the person I talked to about it, the green is a preservative type paint which could contain copper and all the other things that wood preservatives have. Bamboo is great to use, just don't get the 'pretty green' stuff.
