2.1 HOG ISLAND BOA Boa constrictor, WC, 3’ - 4’, New blood! 250.00
Glades Herp is selling WC hog island boas. I thought that hogs were 'extinct' in the wild. Is this not the case?

HI,
I hope they didn't collect any of the last few animals if there is any remaining in the wild. Man that bites..How many violation of that rare and exotic animals law did that break.

I'm pretty sure I know where they came from. About 3-4 years ago a dealer in the states brought in 33 boas that at the time he was calling San Andres Boas. They turned out to be Hog Island Boas. At the end of it they are an island for of bci that looks most like what we call the hog island boa so that is the name they get because it is what people in the pet trade are most familiar with. Don't forget all those islands down there are crawling with boa constrictors. Those wild caught hog island boas could have come from Hog Island or any of the smaller suronding islands or maybe even the main land.
Read this Boa Mania's post about San Andreas (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=55050#post55050) and thisMore San Andreas info. (http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8097)
I now own 2 of the 10 in Canada and one of them is in that pic.
Hope this helps,
Trevor
