First of all, congrats on finding such a rare and interesting species. As far as taming it down I would recommend that you put the snake's enclosure in a quiet location and handle the critter gently every so often. There's not much more to do than that but hopefully it will tame down for you. If not, I certainly wouldn't mind an E. quatuorlineata;)... Yeah, I had to look up the latin on the Internet:(.

Good Luck Mate! And I wouldn't mind seeing a picture either:D.

I'm wondering if maybe you're getting a four lined confused with a yellow rat. Similar latin names quadrivittata vs quatuorlineata and very similar looks.

If it is a four lined, let the bidding war begin!

Yellow rats are great snakes too (I've got one:D). How's everything going with it? Any luck taming it down? You've been calling the snake a 'her'. Is that confermed? Congrats with the new edition!
