I was asked to post some of these photos and thought this would be the safest (breaking the least amount of rules) place to post them,,,they're not all herps but here goes...... I'll list where they were taken.

I dont work at a zoo but am a pro photographer, take a look at my profile for my home page....and moderators don't worry I don't sell anything from there so I'm NOT advertising anything here. Just want to share and get opinions from some people that will appreciate the photos.

Ahhh that explains why the pictures look soooo amazing LOL, you're a pro!! They all look great but I'd have to say the Mot Mot one is my favourite.

Thanks for all the compliments on the shots.
What I'm using now isn't what these shots were taken with, but here goes.
Camera: Canon 20D 8.2mp SLR (those shots on the 10D)
Lens for most: 100-400mm L series Image stabilized.
All shots that are above were hand held at 400mm at a distance of about 50-60 yards, except the flamingo and Basilisk about 10yards. Shooting at a ISO of 400 and all setting to full manual. aperature was about 4.5-5 and shutter speeds were between 1/60th and 1/160th. Hope this satisfies all the techies. If not PM me and I can give you some more info and other techniques that I use, no problem.
I hope to do more Herp oriented photography this year (mostly Ontario, and maybe some Utah and Nevada stuff mixed in) so if anyone can help me out with info or invites for field herping, I'd really appreciate the help, and I'm sure if your into photography I might be able to offer some expertise for you as well.....Have a good one.

i went down a couple years ago doign that, but with a crappy camera. im ehaded south again this year a few times for the same reasons, although nto jsut herps. if you wanna caht about it pm or e-mail me, love to talk.
if your going to nevada, hit up Pyramid lake. bout 1 hour north of reno. one TRIPPY place! TONS of fence lizards (some cool colours), and we caught a leopard lizard there too. didnt spend much time there but i am sure there is a lot of stuff. you must spend a night there to truely appreciate teh area....very magical and eary feeling.
