Our school decided when we returned to classes after the x-mass break to start a penny drive to raise money for the Red Cross for the Tsunami relief effort.
We only have a totally of 50 students in my school from K-8 so it’s not like we were going to raise thousands. I decided that my homeroom class could use an incentive. I told them that if they raised $50 I would shave my head. If they raised $100 I would shave my head and beard (which I’ve had for 14 years) and if they raised $300 I would shave my head, my beard and my eyebrows. They had 4 school weeks to reach their targets. Well, as of 2pm this after noon they had just over $100 and I lost my hair and beard! The newspaper was there to take pics. As soon as I get some of the before and after I’ll post them!
My next fundraiser will be in March for the SPCA. I’ll be doing a snake show at my school called “An evening with snakes.”. We’ll be charging admission and take Polaroids with some of my snakes. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the local SPCA.
Cheers,
Trevor

Good work Trevor!! Can't wait to see the new look....lol
Glad to see there are still people in this world with a heart!!
Keep up the great work with those kids and teaching them the proper way to go in life. Wish all children in school had role models such as yourself to look up to and to remember as someone who gave a damb

Good for you guys!

Our school of 200 kids dontateed for over a thousand dollars. Each day for this week we had each kid(if they wanted too) bring pennies of Monday, nickels on Tuesday, Dimes on Wensday, Quarters On Thursday and Lonnies/toonies on Friday.

Our goal was 600$ but we did alot better then expected.

Be kind. I know I'm gooffy looking but remember it was for a good cause. My students raised the $100 so they earned seeing me look like a goof for a while.

Trevor, at least the "manscaping" won't take forever in the morning. Good on 'ya. I know what you mean though, it's unfortunate we can't all have the sexy, sexy genetics that Favelle was gifted with... Grrrrrrr! LOL....

If Favelle's so man pretty like you guys are always saying, then maybe he should submit a couple photos of himself to the photo contest? hehehe

What a cool thing Trevor. I would have LOVED to see some no eyebrow pics though! :D

Alright, it's Favelle VS Furlotte on the catwalk. My money's on Baby Face Furlotte. He can at least turn both ways! :D

Good job Trevor! Hair is for suckers! :p ;)

Tim; did you say Trevor can swing both ways? I thought that was a secret!
Hair rules BTW. I'll be keeping mine until it falls out.

You guys are on glue. The only swinging I'm going to be doing is going to be with uncle Louie!
Thanks for the kind words,
Trevor

The numbers are in! My class rasied $127 dollars and the rest of the school only raised $115! We were in the paper too!
I also had an interview tonight with the local paper about the snake show I'm doing for the SPCA.

Trevor

Neat, can I have your autograph, or should I just drive to NB and follow you around pestering you relentlessly until you cave? That's good stuff, when I was in school way back when it would have been nice to have had a "cool" teacher like you.

Well I don't know about cool but I do think I am in a position where I can have a positive influence. I think that being a teacher and being a herper and having a principal on the SPCA board puts me in a unique sittuation where I might be able to do some good for the animals at the shelter.
Thanks,
Trevor

good job trevor, Now you can raise money by singing in a tragically hip cover band. Your a splitting image of gordon downey, lol.....:) again Nice work!

Thanks Jim but the truth is it's all just a cover to help pay for visions!lol
Cheers,
Trevor
PS
My wife is going to get a kick out of the Gordon comment because I love the Hip but she calls them a boy band.lol

Great idea, and good work!
Hope all goes as planned.

Jim; maybe you need to see a picture of Gord, because no offense Trev, but you don't look a lick like Gord.
Trevor; you're wife needs a good sitting down and takin' to. Or at least make her listen to anything on "In Violet Light". That should cure her of her "crazy talk". P.S. a "boy band" is a band that doesn't have staying power, the Hip's been around since '84.

I know mykee I know. I try to tell her but she just doesn't get it. As for the looking like Gord, I hear ya. I'll tell you one better than that. One of the teacher assistents at my school today said I looked like Justin Timberlake(sp) while I was coming down the hall. I told her she wasn't allow to hand out the glue any more.
Trevor

02-08-05, 09:13 PM
Trevor, with a comment like that, I don't think that she's handing out anything. Has the school's glue budget recently doubled? Don't get me wrong, you're a sexy, sexy beast, just not Timberlake or "The Gordfather" sexy...

Hey man I never said these things.lol Just passing them along. I know what I look like, why do think I try to cover some of it up with a goatie.lol
