We have an ornate wood turtle and her shell is starting to curve up around the whole top of her shell. Can anyone tell me if this is a deficiency of some type, or from some other reason.
thanks

Can you post pics of this condition? It may help... how long has this been going on? Can you give us more info on your husbandry practices?

I have read that up-turned shells can be a result of a calcium deficencies that have been corrected. My brother keeps wood turtles and I will ask him when he gets home.

A pciture would be good. But from your description, it does sound like a calcium deficieny. What have you been feeding it? Also, has it been getting any UV light?
Shell deformities are difficult to correct. I think a picture will better explain the situation.
Cheers,
JJ ;)
