I can not hold it in any longer!

It is with pride and pleasure I present a most wonderous acqusition. Enigma, my female eastern indigo!!

As you can see she is a black phase, as opposed to red phase. She is nearly three ft and nearly a year old. I am so happy and pleased!

I told myself that I would get something really nice and neat for myself as I am downsizing for my move back to school, but I think a snake like this is worth it!

Frankly I almost feel like selling everything off and getting more!

Ok, here are the pics!!!!!!!

Hmmm looks familiar Heh heh Actually closer to a year & a 1/2 old. Eggs laid March 23/03 & hatched between June 19-24/03. She was either #4 or #11 I still have 2 females #1 & #6. She's looking good anyhow, nice shots! Now cross your fingers Katt & we'll see what we can do about some more this year (touches wood), Mark

Congratulations Katt! Beautiful Indigo- one of my all time favorite snakes. I tell myself that if I ever down size to just a couple snakes, I'll get a pair of dry's, because then I'll have plenty of time to keep their cages clean! High input = high output. Got to love their inquisitive natures- one of the few snakes out there that I'd nearly call smart.

Good luck with her and keep posting pics.

hehe, indeed :)

Funny story about the indigo thing. The only other time we decided to part with one, to help us get those 3 from Mark, one got out and I ripped the room apart to find it.

Well, when Katt wrangled her way into getting one of the snakes I was determined to keep, things would get even weirder.

We got back home, told her to come over and pick which female she wanted. I went in to check on them, and saw the rubbermaid was pushed in all the way, and one was out.

Ripped the room apart and told Katt to go back home, we'd call her when we found the one female. Looked everywhere, then I noticed that my duct tape over the heat vent had become loose, and the snake could have gotten down there.

We also keep a dresser in that snake room (you know you are a herper when...) and after looking through all the drawers and everything else, I held my hands on my head and thought "If I was an indigo, where would I be"

Sock drawer. I knew Sheila had taken it out to look behind it, my only hope was it was burried in their.

So, I said to myself, as I held my head "If there is a higher being, please show yourself now", reached into the sock drawer and pulled out the indigo.

That is the absolute truth. Katt came over, and decided to pick the other one. I think both Katt and Vanan would have liked "godess", but I thank Katt for letting me keep that one.

I will never trade or sell another indigo again, the indigo gods have spoken, and I hear them.

Yes, it is the truth!

I thank Ryan greatly for letting me have one of his black beauties.

She is truly cherished here. She has made me see the light. I need more of these!

Expect a blitz of selling after the season. I gotta get some!
