hard to say most likley a temperature related anomoly. you'll have to breed him then back to his kids and see what you get.

It almost looks like a genetic stripe but I'd say it's just an odd normal. Could have been a temperature fluctuation during icuabation like was suggested. Nice Retic either way. Where did you get it?

Hey DJN,
Just curious, is there really some outstanding feature that tells the difference between genetic stripe, and temp flux during incubation? Just asking for my knoweledge. Ive seen deformities due to temp flux, but never seen a pattern change. Not that I breed and have lots of experience with new borns, just know a breeder.

the sides where the bold stripe is almost looks like a brighter golden child.

Bu I think its just a weird normal.
