Does any one know of any breeders that have Angolian Pythons in Canada? I know there are a few in the US, does anyone know who they are either? I'd like to even know the cost of them.
Ryan
I believe they are usually 6-8k a pair usd. I was told that there is a least one breeder working with them in Canada..

From what I am told, one well known breeder here on the West Coast is working with them. However, I've not heard of any sucesses as far as breeding them yet. It will happen though, and when it does they will most likely be very expensive.

To the best of my knowledge Angolans have yet to be produced in Canada -- that might change in the next year or two though. If you're looking for something sooner than that, you'll likely have to import them from the US. Off the top of my head, I know that Casey Lazik down there was producing a fair bit of them. If I remember correctly from the classifieds that I've seen recently, they were going for $4-5k US per pair.
Hope that helps,
Jen

Thanks for the info, I really better start saving now I guess. If anyone has some nice pics feel free to post them. I seen on the NERD website that they crossed an angolian and a ball python, if you have a chance check it out.

It's An-go-LAN not An-go-LIAN. ;)
They're from Angola, not Angolia.

Naw... no biggie. :D I hear people calling them that almost 1/2 the time though. ;) :p
They are on my dream list too, man! One day! :)

Yeah for sure. Are they a species that also get imported or are they just captive bred now from the specimens that were obviously imported at one time?

I don't think there's much in the way of imports. I've heard they are pretty heavily protected. It will just take a few years before you see more up for grabs. Until then, there's always pics! :)

TRUE THAT. I was reading - I believe in Reptiles Mag - a while ago, someone wrote in that had a pair, the funny thing is they really didn't know what they were talking about and as well they made it sound like they had just by chance came to own this pair of angolans. Kinda laughed because it was like a real passive way of bragging .....lucky ******* haha
