EVERYONE:
Was chatting with some of my car club friends and they brought up an interesting question. Being I am heavy in my boid collection and love for other animals I keep as pets and also love sport / luxury domestic and import cars, they asked is there anyone in your reptile net friends who also are into souping up cars, both for racing or looks or car shows.
So my question is this.
Anyone in this forum who have reptiles be it any species that are also into sport / luxury domestic and import cars that tune or beautify them for show or racing?
Be great to hear from you all.

i used to own a mustang that was pushin 425 hp that car was crazy fast with a 5 sp. Unfortunetly i sold it to my brother and the dumb A** got nailed doin donuts outside the bar and was way over the limit, no one said my family was smart. I plan on building a better one soon. As for right now i am converting my wifes taurus se into a sho ( cosmetically) , i figured i needed to replase the front end anyway so what the heck.

lmao i was wondering how long it would take for someone to give a rebuttle. No woerries i have nothing against them and if i owned one would defietly not leave it stock longer than it took me to drive from the dealership to the performance shop.. But a skyline or silvia is where its at.

I am more into muscle cars, than imports. I dont have one YET but I help my uncle work on his 32ford coupe. And whan I get enough money I would likr to buy a G.T.O I am not sure which year. Or I would like to get a road runner.

YOUNGBUCK:
Very nice indeed. I got a friend with a yellow version with lambo doors and a dolled up stereo. Next stage will be increasing power when the money is there for it :D
But here is mine a Stealth (autopac) deal converted to a 3000 GT, being they almost look alike I only changed some body parts and tweaked the stock 320 hp to 410 hp last dynoed in June 2003, added new turbos and chip so I need to do a new dyno to find out if it went higher. I need new rims the ones there are borrowed from a friend who toasted his 3000 GT last summer. Only things left to do other than rims will be lambo doors, tint darker, and if I can get a decent (simple price) mp3 player stereo, then I am done with this hobby funding. Had before 91, 92, 95 Talons Tsi AWDs and I loved those but the 92 Stealth caught my eye and when I found this 95 I could not let it go. :D
Cruise nights in Winnipeg are sweet, everything from the classics to the highly modified from every age group and male/female owners. Lots of show and tell and lots of crazy racing where the cops love the chase. Just about 1 every street block. Last count was like 300 plus car lovers on a warm night and then another 600 just out to watch and cruise with the players. People from Nevada - Washington - BC - Ontario come here during the summer for these shows. My earlier years was more crazy now I just cruise at low speed and enjoy the overall atmosphere and let the pups race there way to cop hearts :D
Now with a long drive home from the city and the ability to rip up the road getting home I still have some fun with this bad boy :D

Yeah, Peugeot is very popular around here. I'm changing the Calibra headlights for the 206 tuning-edition headlights. Gonna have to do some body cuts for that but i'm guessing it will look superb. I'll post a pic once it's done.

I'm totally not into souping up newer cars (a la honda civic) but absolutely ADORE hot rods and rebuilding older cars. When I was growing up, I helped my dad rebuild an old '72 TR6...which I this year inherited. I love that old brit sports car...learned A LOT builing it too. Right now I have my eyes on some old '57 Impalas or the old '45 Chevy pickups...if only I had the money! This one isn't our TR6....but looks exactly like it (except we put silver flecks into the blue paint)

if you want to see a nice pugeot 406, see if you can rent the original, european version of Taxi (not that campy recent american remake with queen latifah) great driving movie. its in french with subtitles just to warn you.
I saw it when I was in switzerland in 1998.
HEy Jimmydavid: those turbos are an expensive fix, I just replaced the on on my stock 1991 volvo 740 turbo sedan. The original turbo went 450 000km. it was expensive, so I cant imiagine the cost of one for a tuner car.

to the post about liking skylines i actually have a friend here in indiana that has one, he recently had a r33 gtr and it was stolen out of the shop and now he has a r32 both very and im sure he has pics on the shops site www.modernspeedlabs.com....oh and piss on the turbo deal go ALL MOTOR, owning a all motor civic is nice when you put it to a mustang guy or any other they may have a big engine but my little one thats N/A still owns
Tony, bloody nice car. And buddy from Calgary, I'll be keeping an eye out for that celica, looks like mine.......
......From Need For Speed Underground lol.
I drive a stock 91 celica GTS..get's me from point A to B... I'm not much for suping up cars, I personally hate those freaking mufflers unless it's on a car like Tony's or "buddy from Calgary" haha. And I don't like body kits much, I'd rather see that money go under the hood and surprise the kids trying to race you. Take care, keep the pics coming.

MIKE:
Thank you.
Yeah the high rice rocket mufflers do sound cheezy at times on certain cars. I put alot Greddy components on my ride, sounds alot like a smoking Vette but only when the pedal is down otherwise its calm almost like a sleeper. After my bud lost his car, we took all we could save to build my ride on the kit look. I was hoping last year to add a few more tweaks in looks to European it a bit and I might still try if the cost doesn' t pass the left over limit I want to put last into it.
Ideas that are in the works are mirror or side signals like Mercedes, a friend of mine says it is real easy and not over the budget at all to install. As long as the paint doesn' t get messed up I might consider it. The lambo doors are a tweak I can' t miss out on. I believe in my province there are only 2 cars with it being a Celica and a MR-2 being my finacee' s brother in that 1. The Celica is a buddy of his and was the 1st to have that done in Manitoba by an installer in Minneapolis. Tint is a plus as well just over all keeps the ride styling. Might consider remote drop kit when ride is parked, friend says I can do it in budget but still thinking on it cause I still want to put my own rims and rubber on it and give back the old ones. Then upgrade the factory stereo to a mp3 player possibly a DVD mp3 player but cost is the issue might stick to simple mp3 player only.
I love upgrading the ride but I have limits set. Analisa says I can keep the car but the budget is set final now :D
But she loves the ride and the speed and control on 4 slicks with my baby keeps me happy with a weekend cruiser. Although winter here sucks up alot of the fun, summer is much more pleasing :D
That is right its only a weekend ride in good weather with only 60,000 km and still has the new car leather smell. To bad no autobahn in flat Manitoba :D

CRAZY4REPTILES:
I loved the few I ever saw of that car, the double window look was what caught my eye at first on them. Not sure but I think they discontinued them after a few years. Sorry for the loss and hopefully nobody was hurt.
Although I have seen many of those after shots with alot of cars from some friends and others who claim they knew there car and power. It takes more control to not be tempted on the rage of racing. My earlier years I was more gung ho with a stock car of 195 hp built to 270 hp on the few Talons I owned. Those were crazy days and I was much younger. My ride now has the force to handle most anything that would step up to me, but the real control is to know what is worth it and what is not. With so many new life reponsibilities and a decent ride that few can actually craze me into a race, I can honestly say I fear few and the ones that are above that line also know these machines are to be respected not to be part - time mastered.
Our little group all have some experience with the old days and now all have the life experience to treasure our rides and make them last as long as the love for them. The little punks that meet us at a red light can rev there engines all they want, its the sleepers that always win not the screamers :D
Although I do have a date planned with a 2001 Corvette and 1999 Trans Am being set up in the summer as part of a show at a track to raise funds for handicapped children. Myself, Darren and Micheal have wanted to battle it out and now there is a cause - quickest 1/4 mile wins the debate after 3 years :D

LOL, yeah laws are different here. The random 30 car pull over they love to do here is always full. Checking exhaust, lights, noise levels, tint, body components, wings, ground clearance and the list goes on. But it s funny when they reach our group cause they try but they can' t nail anything. We are all borderline on specs but still they can' t nail a ticket of looks or noise, lol :D

another car lover here... *used* to have a 95'gt 5spd (me vs. telephone pole, guess who won) with full exhaust, some engine work, dvd, etc... definately a fun car and definately fun ripping apart rice burners who had exhaust pipes big enough for my head with an engine smaller than my lawnmower haha...
sure there are some fast ones out there with serious boost but most of them are dumb kids who 'think' that each vinyl decal adds 5 hp... **theres no replacement for displacement**
I could never buy one of those myself considering there were 15 in my highschool parking lot and everyone claimed they could beat me but never stepped up... leave the civics for grandmoms and older sisters please!
The closest I could get to cookin' rice would be a WRX, Skyline, or definately a Supra.
New to the snake hobby but have always loved cars and always will
Tony: Stealth is real pretty too man
Daver: What do you run?? I got a bunch of rc's: a nirto boat, T-Maxx, Awd touring, and some misc. OH YEAH, my baby haha, I got an RC10gt with a 2.5 hp conversion all metal- cost me like 2g's but will pull 80 no prob, ill race all you civic ricers with that thing on 1/8th mile, that would be fair HAHAHA
heres a pic of my old car too.

Thanks on the comments, yup the kids do come out trying to push for a race but after they hear the roar and the 4 wheel grip they learn. Younger years I would be like "oh yeah lets go" but now none of the $15 hook ups will hurt my ride, what I need is a Viper or something in that range to whine up to me then who knows, :D
Tony
Not much into fast wheels but I drive a 2004 Acura EL Touring... eh, nothin' special about my 1.7 L, VTEC, four banger... sure as hell beat you all in gas mileage... LOSERS :D
I'll hit the occasional race, ussually get toasted, most of the time I just wanna see a fast car fly ;)
I'm gonna throw a SICK muffler and a K&N Air filter, along with neon lights under my whip, euro lights hanging off my back, and glowing acura sign... hmmm... prolly get some plastic spinners from Canadian Tire 'cause those babies are the illest s**t on the market right now...
I'm kiddin' around, nice wheels ladies and gentlemen :)

Yup gotta love the Talons, I have a few over the years. Always picked up the new look when it came in. Was my 1st standard as well to own. I drove before that but owning 1 is different and so much fun. Although standard in a flat province isn' t much skill, I love going on trips back to Europe and test it out there on the multi-directional roads with highs and lows :D
Were you 1 of the lucky ones where the turbo has not blown yet in a 90 model?
I don' t drive my ride in winter so I never test out the turbos in freezing weather is why I ask. Plus the earlier models of Talon had some trouble with turbos.

My buddy Marco finally decided on his new look for his 95 RX-7. We both saw many shows of fire paint on cars and choppers but he found a guy that can copy this fire look and its what Marco wanted for awhile.
