Every time i read a caresheet on pythons,
I always see that retics are told to be the pythons that cover the largest range. How that ever became so "clichet" in herpetology is beyond me, but at some point someone must have come up with that and others spread the word. Voila! Today you can get that "fact" on every site or herp-book you take a look into.
As i understand, retics exist in Southeast Asia, Indonesia and Philippines. Afrocks exist through most of Africa. It really doesn't take much effort to pick a map and see that Rocks cover at least 3 times the same solid land and through many more countries.
