I must say that Rosy Boas are some of the weirdest snakes out there when it comes to feeding! Mine constantly writhe and roll around with their prey while consuming. I wouldn't say that they're trying to constrict because it looks like very little force is being exerted. They just constantly spin around and twist and turn the whole time when eating - it's really bizarre. All my Rosies do it though.
Anyway, here are a couple of pics of my female Kofa Mountains who managed to tie herself in a knot while doing her little feeding dance! She ended up having to drop the mouse, untie herself, and then resume eating...
Any other Rosy keepers observe this behaviour?

LOL Nice,

Do they get themselves free or does this situation usually require intervention with yer rosy's?

This is the first time that an actual knot had formed, they usually just get into one big ball of writhing snake, but this time she actually looked a little bit stuck.
You can see from the second pic that she loosened herself (the knot isn't as tight as in the first pic) and then she just kind of slithered out of it. It was really weird though...
