Hey,
This is the new 15 gallon invert I just set up for my vents. Heres some info. Tank: 15 gallon long, with First Class Aquatics acrylic insert. (http://www.firstclassaquatics.com/vivarium.htm)
Light and Hood: Peace of the Tropics (http://www.peaceofthetropics.com/catalog/index.php)
Plants and Cork: Peace of the Tropics (http://www.peaceofthetropics.com/catalog/index.php
Frogs: (D. Ventrimaculatus)
I began by trimming down the large piece of cork for back, and then siliconing it to the back. After a day or two I began foaming around the cork, using Handi-Foam Black http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=9232&D=handi%20foam&R=17705&Ntt=handi%20foam&Dx=mode+matchallany&Ntk=All&Ntx=mode+matchallany&Np=1&N=62728&Nty=1). Foaming took 2 days. After that I spent three or four days putting on the coco fiber and patching it up. I did this by coating the foam in a little area with silicone, then pressing coco-fiber substrate into it.The plants came this weekend, and so I began putting them in with broms first. I siliconed them in by the stolons, and then held them in place for 24 hours with paper clips. The rest of the plants went in, and then I monitered it for a day. Enjoy, and feel free to ask questions.

good job, its been a year and a half since I got rid of all of my dart frogs (all 30 of them) and I love to see that people are still keeping the hobby alive

Great to see you back on here Laurier!

A lot has happened..... WC pumilios are available again... but you are probably aware of that.

Poke around here:

www.dendroboard.com

It has essentially killed frognet and crippled the queensnake arrowfrog forum. Check it out.... it is a great thing for the hobby nonetheless... though I really do miss the frognet traffic.

I could never part with my dart frog collection.. I would wither away and die.

Hopefully you will find a way to get back into the hobby at some point.

As Ben Stiller says:

"DO IT"

Just the idea of building an enclosure like that makes me want to get frogs lol

I have come back from out of my cave, after taking a de-tour and became a fish geek.

WC pumilio last time I saw those guys for sale it was 6 years ago when I was 14. The niciguagan (sp?) orders with auratus and pumilio.

I think I am going to start with my favorites this time, green and black auratus and set up a 45 gal viv after my discus move onto there 80gal. should be fun, but I have been searching around and most of the same breeders are still putting out the same stuff, pumilio.com went under and I took a look at that forum, Nice.

Thanks for the replies all. The vent's have been alot more active in this tank, and seem to love all the new vertical space. Hopefully they can start breeding soon!

i noticed that insert to allow the tank to be put on end and oipened from the side. Are those things common at all or do only specialized companies make them? especially in canada. i imagine i wouldnt be able to find one for very cheap here.
