BNP - Ball Pythons - breeding I hope.

EVERYONE:

Well this is my first crack at breeding Ball Pythons. At the moment I separated for a couple of days to feed the male. This pair is male NERD 100% Heterozygous Albino Ball Python and female Regular Ball Python. Weeks before I weighed here at 1620 grams and he was around 600 grams estimated. He has shown interest in her but I am not 100% certain on this season but he will be on her in a day or 2 again.

Female looks nice and stocky, but at 600g, is the male producing sperm? Good luck.

To check for sperm plugs:

1. Get someone to hold the snake.
2. Take the tail upside down, one thumb just above the cloaca(towards the head), and one thumb near but not at the bottom of the tail.
3. Gently massage the tail with your thumb, moving toward the cloaca. Apply a VERY gentle pressure with your other thumb just above the cloaca.

Its a faily easy thing to do. Sperm plugs may pop out, and I've had what I believe was actual sperm come out too. The sperm plugs will appear whittish, sometimes there is yellow(from urates). Just pull them out.
