I am a big fan of his, he may be crazy at times but he has serious passion for animals and makies learning about them more fun than any book or well scripted speech. I know he has his writers but its the overall look that makes it more interesting.

WOW - some serious coin coming his way since the tigers boys are out of the picture, I was so hoping to visit Vegas to catch 1 of their shows now I guess it be great to see Steve as well.

Can' t wait to hear updates on this story.

Interesting indeed.

It will go one or two ways. Either it will be an entertaining, yet educational show. Or it will stick to true Vegas form and become a sideshow entertainment circus type show full of his "dangerous" encounters and antics, over sensationalised using the "scary" part of reptiles to entertain rather than the educational side. I mean come on, it's Vegas. No one goes there to get a croc education.

If Steve is very careful, he can accomplish both and make it a great Vegas show, as well as a REAL forum for spreading the word that reptiles aren't all killers and scary beasts. I hope he does.

Marisa I couldn't agree more. People go to vagas to be entertained not educated. Steve has always been a show boat and now he'll be the biggest show boat of all.

Uggh. Good. Maybe he'll stay in Vegas where his type of Show-Boat handling is accepted and stay off of TV. At least then his reckless behavior would not infect so many people.

Now he really will be "staging" finds.lol At best the folks can expect him to educate them on Ball, boas and maybe a caiman and the occasional burm.
I'm with you BW, don't let the door hit you on the way out. I used to like him but the longer I watched him and the more I learned about herps the more I thought he was a dink. Also seeing real snake wranglers on discorvery and Nation Geographic didn't do much for opinion of him either.

take your pick, steve irwin who cares about animals and handles them as gently as possible with the least amount of stress or the bredl guy from killer instint that strangles any snake he gets his mitts on. He just man handles them , stuffing them in his pockets or in his shirt. The guy is a neandrathol (*sp) that doesn't care about the animals just how cool he must be throttling those poor snakes. Red Neck Hillbilly mentality.

Do you mean like the time he picked up a snake that was eating another snake and it regurged it's meal right in his hands?
Or like the time he was moving one of crocs at the zoo and it smashed it's face into a rock losing a tooth? Steve is no less rough then the rest of them.

I saw a killer instinct where he grabed this poor snake by the tail and was swinging it around basically. The thing should have bit him, would have served him right!! I'm no fan of Steve Irwin though, that one drives me up the wall too. I prefer documentaries filmed with the animals in their habitat not being disturbed by idiots.

I saw him on a different talk show. Cant remeber which one. He was acting like a "dink" to quote Trevor.

Aswell, the more I have watched him, he seems to be degrading IMO. I dont really like any of these snake rangler guys really. One guy I think is good is that guy that goes and looks for not just snakes but inverts, and other funky stuff. Hes got a larger build and has either a beird or gotee. He rarely touches the animals, which IMO, is good as they are wild animals, and he is not stressing them nearly as much.
