setup question????

right now i have my beardie in a 55gallon tank and im using sand as a substrate. i was wondering if there was anything i cold use instead on the sand. i want something realistic not papertowels or shelf liner. thanks for the help

Silca free playpit sand is prob closest thing to natural at a reasonable cost with a few rocks for them to clamber over and bask on is prob the best way foreward
