I've only had her since Thursday, and she is already very comfortable with me handling her for a few minutes each night. She goes back and forth from one hand to the other, twining herself through my fingers like it's some kind of game. Today she ate a f/t pinky right off the palm of my hand.

I've never had a snake get so comfortable so fast, but she is my first corn. Are most corns this sweet?

Corns are known to be great snakes and some will be as great as your new little Yuki. They tame very easily and quickly aside for some pretty rare exceptions. Nice to hear your enjoying your new baby and having fun :)

I only took this one pic so far, and she shed about 4 hours after I took it. I'm trying not to freak her out by too much going on all at once and the flash did seem to startle her when I took this one.

Well, she's not a starter snake for me, but she is still great. I've been keeping garters for quite some time now. They can be very sweet after a short while, but are pretty musky at first.

do you keep wild garters or the more select CB morphs?

It's illegal to keep captive garters where I live, so I do keep captive bred ones. Right now I have hets for snow and erythristic but they look like ordinary plains garters. I also have a western ribbon that was sold as CB but I think it was probably a WC.

I used to keep more "colorful" garters but gave them to friends who were starting out as herpers. Once Dante and Lilith breed there will be some brighter babies around, it will be cool to see exactly what pops out next year.
